“So David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. And David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a forest.” 1 Samuel 23:15
“Then Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God.” 1 Samuel 23:16
Wilderness times can make us feel vulnerable.
Lord, thank You for showing us David’s time in the wilderness and how You were still with him. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Sending Strength
Feeling a little shaky
out in the wilderness
small and bewildered
sort of valueless
then You send someone in Christ
to strengthen our hands
to remind us that You are near
and You understand.
Thank you, Deb
Wonderful!! This is just so beautiful and timely! I’d rather not be in the wilderness, but I trust His hands to guide me through.
“Feeling a little shaky out in the wilderness
small and bewildered sort of valueless…”
Sometimes He speaks directly to my situation.Sometimes He guides someone to come alongside me to help me walk through it. I am thankful that He is with me where ever I am. Blessed be His name!
Blessings,
ann
(P.S. Your post is a confirmation for me today.)
“…then You send someone in Christ
to strengthen our hands…”
This has certainly been true in my life and I appreciate everyone who has ministered to me.
Yup. And that’s what blog friends are for. Reading about the struggles we all go through reminds me that there are people who will pray for me. I’m grateful for my blog friends today! ; )
Ann full of Jesus grace, joy and song . . .thank you so much for your excitement and support, for praising Him and letting us know when something is a confirmation. That blesses me so much. 🙂
Now I’m going to have to get me a tambourine!
God bless you as you rejoice in His goodness today!
p.s. love the song!
I appreciate everyone who has ministered to me too . .. and that certainly includes you! 🙂 Thank you, Larry, and God bless you and strengthen you today!
Blog friends are a special breed, aren’t they? 🙂 God is soooo good, and in my situation where even phone calls are stressful for my sweetie that I care for, let alone conversations and socializing, He knew just what to do and who to send to me.
God bless you and send others along side you today!
Your poem today is so beautiful and is certainly my testimony – God knows when we just can’t keep going and sends someone or something to remind us He still sees us! Bless you today as you give out xx
Oh I get to see your beautiful face! yay! 🙂 And what a beautiful comment too, sweet Aimee. I didn’t know that it would resonate with anyone when I wrote it, so am thankful for God working that all out.
God bless you and yours. You are someone He works through to keep us going too!
Feeling a little shaky
out in the wilderness
small and bewildered
