Also For Us

“Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him,
but also for us.” Romans 4:23-24

Amazing how God writes on our hearts so personally, but with far reaching effects.

Father, thank you for setting faith in motion that by Your grace the seed of Abraham yet abides. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Birth of Faith

Heir of
the whole earth

through the righteousness
of faith

Abraham believed
God’s promise

and by grace
his seed is saved.

  1. “…and by grace
    his seed is saved.”

Thank God for Abraham because we are a part of his seed through Christ.

  2. I recently read Bruce Feiler’s Father of Three Faiths and I really enjoyed the book. While I choose my path, I have a deep respect for those that choose a different one.

  3. Blessings, Deb

“Father, thank you for setting faith in motion that by Your grace the seed of Abraham yet abides”
    …only by grace…

    Thankful,
    ann

  5. Thank you for sharing that book with us, Tammy. 🙂 I so appreciate your deep respect for others and other faiths that He planted in you. God bless you and the path He has you on!

  6. Thankful for that grace with you, Ann full of grace! God bless you and your faith that testifies of Jesus. love and prayers for all that you are doing!

  7. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob… The God of you and me. (via the bird… way too clever! ) : )

  8. God bless you, Linda, as you rest in the grace and arms of your God today! love and prayers!

  9. Deb, Wonderful poem! Your post brought to mind this verse: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. We cannot boast that we are the seed of Abraham and that we are in Christ Jesus, because it was all His doing. We are counted righteous because Jesus was righteous and we have faith in Him! What a wonderful and awesome God! Peace, Linda

  10. I’m with you, Linda! For me it is so comforting that it is not of us, nothing of my own doing. My own doing bankrupted my soul and life. Now Jesus and what He does . . .that is something to boast about! 🙂 God bless you as you praise your wonderful and awesome God!

  11. By faith Abraham . . .
    By faith we . . .
It is ALL of God and NOTHING of us.
Even the faith by which we believed is a gift of God.

    What an amazing God!

  12. Thank you so much, mentor Angela, for reminding us that our very faith is of Him! 🙂 Where would we be without our amazing God?!
God bless you as you keep the faith He has given!
