Long Division

“So there was a division among the people because of Him.” John 7:43

He also divided time and history.

Lord, may those of us who believe be undivided in our love for You and each other. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Who Is He?

Some said You came from Galilee
and couldn’t be the Christ

others said that you spoke words
like no man alive

some said You had a demon
others thought You were divine

I say You are my Jesus
the One who saved my life.

  1. Thank you for the message you are sharing on your page and thus illuminate the stressful world.
Thank you for the visiting my Butterfly in Plaster. Glad you enjoyed the scattered seeds – recognized the same message in my picture thinking.

  2. There’s still a division between good and evil today because of Him.

  3. Deb, The most important question anyone will ever answer is the one Jesus asked: “Who do you say I am?” That question divides so much. I love your poem, especially the last stanza:

I say You are my Jesus
the One who saved my life.

That’s what I say, too! πŸ™‚ Peace, Linda

    I like much!

I thought of the passage in Scripture when Jesus asked “who do you say that I am?” …

Praying who He is to us will shine through in the way we live.

    Blessings,
    ann

  16. Oh that’s a beautiful prayer, Ann full of Jesus grace! Now I’m praying that too . . .thanks to you!
God bless you and all He is to you!

  17. The One who “divides” is also the One who Unites us… firstly into Himself and the Father by His Holy Spirit… and into each other by the same Spirit of Love. Unity in Love… how Good.. this is where the Perfection is… the Soul’s satisfaction…
“You are the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One!”

  18. Susan! I’m so blessed you are here! You have a special place in the body, a special way of sharing Him and this comment just goes to show that!
God bless you as you thrive in His love!
    love you!

  19. Hey it takes one to know one Deb!
Thank you for all your encouragement.
I do love “Words” how we put them together can minister life or death to the hearers and the readers.Maybe it’s a kind of ART? I feel I can speak better by writing… it gives me time to reflect on what I’m saying. Maybe like you do with your Poetry? We can change it before we post it out.
I was just praying about this today saying Lord I love Words… it’s like painting a picture or weaving a hanging and people can go, Oh that color or thread is really nice. I mean it can make people think about the verses and concepts we have of God that get taken for granted sometimes… if we put things in a different way. I have a strong desire to build others up in the Faith.
May what we write… whether prophecy, inspired poetry or our own heart felt little words bless others..
Have to go to bed… it’s 4.27 in the morning here in Australia… nearly the opposite time to you!
(THOUGHT YOU WERE AWAY?) Susan x

  20. haha! You caught me! We were about 30 min. away, house sitting. I had to come home for short amounts of time and didn’t have to leave as soon as i thought I was going to have to. So I couldn’t help checking on here. It was nice to be away . . .but I also missed everyone!
love you and your love of words . . .especially His word!
