Owning It

“And many more believed because of His own word.” John 4:41
“Then they said to the woman, ‘Now we believe, not because of what you said for we have heard for ourselves and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world’.” John 4:42

We’ve seen giraffes on t.v. and know they are tall. Seeing them close up at the zoo makes that fact more personally real.

Lord, we thank You for the testimony of others and for giving us each a testimony of our own. And here’s a simple poem . . .

We hear and believe
by their testimony
and our faith
takes wing.
Then Jesus comes
to us personally
and our faith
now sings.

  1. Deb, I love your giraffe analogy! And your poem is superb! It is so awesome that we first come to faith through the testimony of the disciples and other Christians. But then Jesus comes to us personally and we see for ourselves who He truly is. Peace, Linda

  2. The little zoo closest to us expanded this last year, and now they have giraffes. We went for the first time earlier this week. They had been put away for the night, but there was a window to observe them through . . .and they were so beautiful. 🙂 And Jesus, He keeps getting more and more beautiful to us, as each day goes by in Him.
God bless you as you testify Who He is!

  3. “and our faith now sings”…once we come to know Him personally we love to proclaim it! 🙂

Thank you Deb, for remind us of all the Lord does.

  4. God bless you woman of the word! 🙂 I love how your faith sings of Him each day. Hope you are having a good weekend!!
    love, deb

  5. Love the way
    your i-magi-
    nation moves
    from Jesus to

  6. Beautiful poetry/prose, even for a non believer

  7. Hi! it’s good to hear from you again and I hope all is going well! I’ll go check out what you’ve been up to soon . . .because you are always up to something!
Thanks for stopping by . . .take cares!

  8. haha! Kind of scary, huh? 🙂 God bless you, Sir Geoff, and all the places that He takes you. Praying your Memorial Day is blessed.

  9. Miss Deb,
My testimony is getting stronger each day with the help of your wonderful poetry! You are awesome 🙂
Thank you for being a shining light for me and others.
    Love you,

  10. I love you getting stronger and stronger and your testimony is so beautiful, in that Jesus way, that makes beauty from ashes. Our God is awesome and I love that He can work through us . . .even me! Who’d have thunk it? 🙂
    God bless you, precious Bee!
    love you!

  11. wow wow! I can relate to that singing part Deb! I literally appreciate singing because of my faith. It doesn’t matter much how I am out of tune when my heart is in tune. Hugggs and love to you 🙂
