Owning It

“And many more believed because of His own word.” John 4:41
“Then they said to the woman, ‘Now we believe, not because of what you said for we have heard for ourselves and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world’.” John 4:42

We’ve seen giraffes on t.v. and know they are tall. Seeing them close up at the zoo makes that fact more personally real.

Lord, we thank You for the testimony of others and for giving us each a testimony of our own. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Testimonies

We hear and believe
by their testimony
and our faith
takes wing.
Then Jesus comes
to us personally
and our faith
now sings.

  1. Deb, I love your giraffe analogy! And your poem is superb! It is so awesome that we first come to faith through the testimony of the disciples and other Christians. But then Jesus comes to us personally and we see for ourselves who He truly is. Peace, Linda

  2. The little zoo closest to us expanded this last year, and now they have giraffes. We went for the first time earlier this week. They had been put away for the night, but there was a window to observe them through . . .and they were so beautiful. 🙂 And Jesus, He keeps getting more and more beautiful to us, as each day goes by in Him.
God bless you as you testify Who He is!

  3. “and our faith now sings”…once we come to know Him personally we love to proclaim it! 🙂

Thank you Deb, for remind us of all the Lord does.

    Love,
    Theresa
