Happy Are You

“Happy are you, O Israel:
Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord,
The shield of your help
And the sword of your majesty!” Deuteronomy 33:29

We might watch a movie or read a book about a brave person saving someone of nobility. But how many stories have we read of the poor and downtrodden being saved by a King?

Thank You, Father, for saving Your people Israel and for sending us all a Savior King through them. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Who Is Like You?

We look back and perhaps think
it was no big thing
that Israel entered into a covenant
with their Lord God Almighty

but never before
had such a thing been done
and now we can too
through Jesus Christ His Son.

  1. Hi Debbie,

“Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord?” …. And that can even include people who are not of Israel…. In Old Testament times, I think of Rahab…. Who was she, to be saved by the LORD?…. She was someone who believed and honored the LORD by her actions…. God’s love is awesome for each and every one of us.

    Love,
    Margaret

  3. Thank you and God bless you, Margaret! 🙂
    love and peace to you!

  4. God bless you, dear woman of the word. Praying that I realize more and more just how wonderful that covenant is! love you!

  5. Deb, In law school I learned about the law of contracts. In order to have a valid contract there has to be an Offer and an Acceptance. It is the same between us and God to create a new covenant: He offered His love and mercy on the cross; all we have to do is accept. Peace, Linda

  6. This is really precious, Linda! I love how He takes what we are familiar with in our everyday lives, to show Himself to us in. (that wasn’t worded right, but I hope you understood! ha) All we have to do is accept . . .I love that too! 🙂
God bless you and all the ways He is using you and your law skills today!

  7. Thank you, Deb

I am thankful that He chose to enter into covenant with me!

    Blessings,

  12. You are so welcome, Bee. God is so good to give us all sorts of ways to keep Him front and center. I’m so blessed that He uses these little poems. Who’d have thunk it??? ha! You are a blessing and your heart shows every time you’re here, loving Him and me. God bless you and keep you, sweet Bee!
