“And he said to them the third time, ‘Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go’.” Luke 23:22
No, there wouldn’t be any reason for death in the Creator of Life itself.
We thank You and praise You, Jesus, for facing down the unreasonableness of death and evil for us. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Jesus Reasons
There was no reason
for death in Him
no evil
had He done
only obeying
His Father’s orders
back to the vineyard
He had come.
Thank you, Deb.
“No, there wouldn’t be any reason for death in the Creator of Life itself.”
I continue to marvel at the way He loves and what He went through for us… willingly.
Praying that beautiful thanksgiving prayer alongside you.
Blessings,
ann
Deb, I love this poem. The thought of Him coming back to the vineyard when He didn’t have to. I often wonder about Pilate, what his motivation was for wanting to let Jesus go. From what I’ve learned about him, it’s not because he was a nice person. And still he could see no evil in Pilate. Peace, Linda
“only obeying
His Father’s orders”
How awesome is he,facing death in obedience knowing that he’s obeying his father which made a way for you and me.
Thank you Deb,for reminding us,how Great a God we serve.I pray that every time we go through hard trials we’ll remember that we were redeemed and we must persevere in obedience knowing that our life is in his hands.

Thank you so much Ann, for spreading His love and grace so wonderfully here in blogland. Your comments always leave me full of His joy. God bless you and He loves on you today!
Thank you for adding that about Pilate. I love getting to know more behind the scenes information. 🙂 God bless you and your love of Him. Saw a reply to Pete on your blog, and praying for those things you would like to be doing too! You would so rock at that for Him. Just sayin’. 🙂
There was something just so comforting in your comment, Kenisha. Every time you and everyone else comments, I feel myself lifted and strengthened and held close. Thank you so much for being the blessing and precious person He has created you to be.
A poem for my friend-
‘Simple’ Blog Poet
I imagine curly red hair with a great big smile
my own reflection in the computer screen
words there are full of His love
how do I know this?
for months hands extend to give virtual hug
welcoming each comment with baskets
of poem, prayer, and joy
through sharing basic principles
of written word
language spoken in familiar tongue
all can understand
they could be on a beach, on a snowy drift
near a river, or in the neighbor’s yard
next door to any one
leaving to run errands
a hand raises and waves, turning
sour starts change to warmer feeling
everything about this person is infectious
something to look forward too
He has found a vessel with purpose
a good use of social networking.
🙂
Oh Elizabeth . . .you’ve done gone and made me cry. But I love it so much . . .and love you. More hugs coming your way, my ever writing poet friend. 🙂
