“Now Moses wrote down these starting points of their journeys at the command of the Lord.” Numbers 33:2
Following this is a list of all the places the children of Israel started from and traveled to. It reminds me of all my journals/notebooks. Each one I pick up and look into reveals a different place I have been on my journey with Him.
Thank You, Lord, for recording Your journey of love for us, from the first word of Genesis to The Revelation’s last. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Our Journey
In order to make a journey
we must have a starting point
a place at which we decide
it’s time to move on from.
Then no matter the size of our steps
if they go sideways, even backwards too
we can always trace our life’s path
on its way home with You.
And knowing that the journey ends with Him makes the rest of it much more manageable. A good poem for meditation this morning…
Deb, You are going to laugh when you read my post today. It’s about a journey, comes in part from an old journal, and includes Him showing me the way. One might thing we collaborated! But the Holy Spirit did that for us. Love this poem and love you! π Peace, Linda
Thank you Deb. I have had starting points on my mind today.
Love,
Theresa
I can’t wait to go see about your journey from your journal with Him! π God bless you every step of the way!
I have kept journals for quite awhile, once a friend gave me one. I’m not always faithful, get away from it, but there was something about seeing all those starting places listed by Moses. ha! God bless you as you meditate on your journey with Him. Yours is an amazing one! π
Praying for all the places He will lead you to today, to be fruitful and a blessing, to be a help and an encouragement! God bless you and your heart for Him!
Thanks, Deb π
Starting over is such a beautiful thing. New beginnings – even if the steps go zig-zag or ‘backwards’. He sees the heart and knows how to gently guide us.
Thank you for sharing. I’ve made many a ziggy-zag but I’m glad He waited for me to find my way back to Him. It was rough but He was ‘in it after all’!
Blessings

In It After All – Larnelle Harris
“So You were in it after all
All of those moments I spent crying
When something inside of me was dying
I didn’t know that You heard me
Each time I called
You had a reason for those trials
It seems I grew stronger every mile
Now I know You were in it after all
We’re always ready Lord to take the glory
But we’re seldom willing to endure the pain
You wee with me when the sun was shining,
And You were still beside me when it rained
So You were in it after all
Taking the blows that I’d been given
Mending the wounds that needed mending
I didn’t know that You heard me each time I called
I guess it’s easy now to see it,
I don’t know how I could have missed it Jesus
But You were in it after all
We’re always ready Lord to take the glory
But we’re seldom willing to endure the pain
You were with me the sun was shining
And You were still beside me when it rained.
So You were in it after all
I guess it’s easy now to see it
I don’t know how I could have missed it, Jesus
But You were in it after all
Now I know You were in it after all”

A song!!! An Ann song! π I love it and remember this one! Oh, thank you so much, Ann. I wish you could’ve seen my reaction . . .my hand flew to my mouth and my eyes got big, my mouth smiley, my ears and heart happy.
I love how you put it, about starting points being starting over points . . .new beginnings. We can have that everyday, for His mercies are new every morning. π
God bless you and every zig-zag you take with Him!

“Alone again in a crowded room
Cornered by the questions in my mind
It’s so hard to understand
How the life that I had planned
Stole my joy and left me far behind
Though all I have is lost it seems
In the shadow of a dream that used to be
I can look beyond the skies
Deep into the Father’s eyes
And see that there is hope for one like me
I can begin again
With the passion of a child
My heart has caught a vision
Of a life that’s still worthwhile
I can reach out again
Far beyond what I have done
Like a dreamer who’s awakened
To a life that’s yet to come
For new beginnings are not just for the young
I face the dawn of each brand new day
Free from all the doubt that gripped my past
For I’ve found in trusting Him
That everyday life starts again
As I look toward the tings of life that last
I can begin again
With the passion of a child
My heart has caught a vision
Of a life that’s still worthwhile
I can reach out again
Far beyond what I have done
Like a dreamer who’s awakened
To a life that’s yet to come
For new beginnings are not just for the young
I can begin again
With the passion of a child
My heart has caught a vision
Of a life that’s still worthwhile
I can reach out again
Far beyond what I have done
Like a dreamer who’s awakened
To a life that’s yet to come
For new beginnings are not just for the young
New beginnings are not just for the young
New beginnings are not just for the young”
To new beginnings!

So glad new beginnings aren’t just for the young!!! π Thank you so much for being my song today and bringing me songs too!
Deb, You are most welcome π
We’ll sing together to the glory of His name!
I love me some Larnelle Harris. I’ve been thinking about songs in my life. I’ve been through so much and for each pain I’ve felt, He’s given me a song. He’s just so amazing!
I was thinking of Linda’s post about praying a song… It’s just so cool that we can do that. In my search for songs from the Psalm, I came across the following.
Here’s a keeper for you π

Oh my goodness! That is just awesome! Who knew? Well, you probably did, eh, since you sent me to it! ha! Thank you greatly! And how He gives you a song for everything . . .that is so cool. Like Him giving me a poem for everything, kind of. . . π What a gracious and understanding God we serve, who knows how to reach us every time.
A starting point towards the omnipotent is such a worthwhile and amazing journey! And it’s fun to come along with wonderful beings, like you!
π
There is no stopping you, I can tell! So glad to be walking with Him, with you too! You make it all more fun! God bless you and your Jesus journey!
