Without Blemish

“You shall offer a burnt offering as a sweet aroma to the Lord; one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year, without blemish.” Numbers 29:2

I remember those years of blemishes and break outs. To be “without blemish”? Only a dream.

Thank You, Lord, for providing us the perfect Lamb, without blemish, so we can stand clear and free, the stigma of our sins cleansed away. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Only One Perfect Enough

Only One Lamb
for the sacrifice
only One Offering
to set me free
Only One Son
without blemish
would die in order
to save me.

  1. Thank you, Deb.

Only one Lamb could do it for us… this one Lamb was all that was needed…This one Sacrifice has leveled the playing field for all of us. No need for the blood of bulls or rams or anything else!

Thankful for the blood of Christ and the ultimate sacrifice He made.

P.S. just thought of a song for you? 🙂 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MwxC9AvwQc

    Matt Redman – Once Again

And once again I look upon the cross where You died
I’m humbled by Your mercy and I’m broken inside
    Once again I thank You,
Once again I pour out my life

  2. Only One Lamb for everyone? Infinitely amazing, He is!

  3. Thankful for our Lamb, Jesus . . .and for you, our thankful Ann. Your comment was such a beautiful testimony and praise. And the Matt Redman song makes me cry, in that good way.
God bless you and the song of praise you are!

  4. I love how you are so excited and amazed by Him, all the time! You witness with your joy and enthusiasm, for your Lamb. God bless you, sweet Rea Sunshine and the way you glow for your Jesus!

  5. When there was none found worthy to take away the sins of the world, God took upon Himself, sinful flesh, that He might die for us, and become that ultimate sacrifice!!! Oh the blood of Jesus, that washes white as snow! Praise God! We truly serve an awesome God! Thank you for sharing this poem, and may God continually speak to your heart! God bless you!

  6. Deb, I love this poem, and I love the Lamb without blemish. I read once that often the lamb without blemish that was offered by an Israelite family was one that they had kept in their home and taken care of, grown to love. They did not just walk out to their flock and pick one at random. The lamb that was offered was special to them. Just as our Lamb is special to us and was special to His Father in Heaven. Peace, Linda

  7. I like and don’t like the sound of the word “blemish” — you understand what I mean. And here’s another complementary song that I’m still developing:

By the way did you introduce me to Eden Ellis? If so, thank you!

  8. Paulette, you are such a blessing. Thank you for lifting His name here and shouting His praise! Your comments and posts make me smile and dance for joy! God bless you and your heart for Jesus!

  9. I read a historical fiction series by the Thoenes that suggested that about the lambs too, Linda. It brought it home all the more. 🙂 God bless you, special lamb of God.

  10. Geoff . . .you are such an artist for Him, so multi-talented! Thank you for sharing that song!!! 🙂 We are blessed!
And Eden is an amazing young lady, full of talent and smarts and she took the initiate to get in touch with you. I’m so glad she did too!

  11. Linda, I didn’t know that about the unblemished lamb-that makes it all the more special and heartrending!.

Deb, this IS a beautiful poem! I continue to be amazed at your gift of poetry.

  12. Sweet A . . .I think you are a beautiful poem of His! 🙂 So glad the poems bless you in some way. It’s really humbling. They are not good poems, as poetry goes, but He gives them to me. . .and I think that’s what makes them beautiful to you and others. It’s Him . . .that Lamb without blemish! 🙂
God bless you and your comments that lift and bless and encourage.

  13. …and only one sweet Debbie for us all to share this with…

  14. Ahhhh . . .I’m so thankful for you E. and that we got to “meet” each other! And will share that there is a new Christian Journal accepting fiction, poetry, and song lyrics at http://idyllsfortheking.wordpress.com.
Maybe you can share something there? 🙂
God bless you and yours E. and your caring heart!
