One Law, One Custom, One Way

“One law and one custom shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.” Numbers 15:16

If you’ve been involved in a situation where double standards applied, you know that it can be confusing, unfair and hurtful.

Father, I thank You that there is only one way to You through Jesus Christ Your Son and He’s available to everyone. And here’s a simple poem . . .

All Welcome

We may be from different places
but we enter in by the same path

some don’t have to climb higher
others can’t get in around back

the rule applies to all
strangers and sojourners alike

we must pass through the blood
of God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

  1. God make it so clear that we may not be confused and lost but still we go round and round until we passed out; until we need Him to rescue us.

Uh I’m talking about my personal experience πŸ™‚

  2. Oh me too, sweet ‘spoon. Only I wasn’t even trying to find Him or the way to Him. Double uh! God bless you and your walk (seeing you skipping!) with Him!

  3. Yes, Deb

Only one way – ‘The Jesus Way’!!

Rea – I go round and round too πŸ˜‰ I have to depend on Him to order my steps otherwise I’m going around the mountain again!

  4. Okay . . .now I’m hearing a song. . .She’ll be coming ’round the mountain when she comes! God bless you and the way nothing stops you from coming to Him. Not even mountains! πŸ˜‰

  5. So true Deb – there is only one way – I’ve always said that it’s such true gospel – such bad P.R. It’s a tough message – but true. Only through the Son. Amen Deb.

God Bless and Keep you and all of yours.

  6. very nicely put together, Debbie πŸ™‚ Thanks for some Monday meditation.

  7. Deb, I don’t know why humans spend so much time trying to find a more difficult way when the Way is right in front of us. In church yesterday, the Gospel lesson for the day was from John 6. Verse 29 says, “Jesus answered, ‘The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.'” That’s it, just believe. But the people wanted something more, they wanted a sign, a miracle to show He was really who He said He was, and this was right after He fed the 5000. We seem to never be satisfied with the simple answer. No wonder Jesus said we must become like little children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Peace, Linda

  8. Hi Deb,
I have to share something which might sound completely irrelevant to your beautiful post but here goes anyways. In the Indian sub-continent, we have a form of poetry called ‘Shayari’ ( and some of your poems sound like ‘Shers’ to me because they are short, are pregnant with meaning and bring about a sense of excitement to the Christian soul. Your poem today did that for me. Thank you for glorifying God in such an amazing way. Thank you for reminding us that to everyone, there is just one way to salvation, through the shed blood of God’s son, Jesus Christ.
    In Christ,

  9. This is such a great post. Really good truth in which to rest. I like both Linda’s and Vineet’s thoughts…such basic truth, but also pregnant with meaning! πŸ™‚

  10. I put a question at the end and then took it back off, wondering how to encourage people who believe there are many paths and ways. I love that . . .bad PR. It sounds bad, but the truth is, it’s not. πŸ™‚ God bless you and the messages He gives us through you!

  11. Thank you for meditating here! So thankful for you and how you see things!

  12. Thank you, Linda, for that verse . . .which I love and need to remember, in its simplicity and sincerity. God bless you and your contentment in Him!

  13. That wasn’t off topic at all! πŸ™‚ I loved reading and learning about Shayari. πŸ™‚ And the pregnant with meaning and excitement to our souls? May that happen each time we write about Him! I know that I sense that in so much of the blogging community and it’s a beautiful work of His! God bless you and yours and your testimony of Jesus!

  14. I like your comment and it gives me more to think about . . .how we can rest in truth! I loved that pregnant with meaning part too. All of His word is that way, isn’t it? God bless you and the way you let His truth live in you!
