Together

“I have taken the Levites instead of the first born of the children of Israel.” Numbers 8:18

I don’t know the theological reason why God did it this way, but my momma’s heart rejoices that families were kept together.

Thank You, Lord, for keeping my family together. And here’s a simple poem . . .

A Miracle Meld

So many damaged families
rent relationships, torn up lives

we have all the same ingredients
yet remain together

another Jesus miracle
in my life.

  1. I think defining family can be difficult sometimes. The old testament was so very focused on lineage. But sometimes we have to make our own families especially when we are from those “rent up” ones πŸ™‚

  2. “we have all the same ingredients
    yet remain together”

Us too; and I will just leave it at that. πŸ™‚

  3. Oh yes, Jessie! My immediate family, under circumstances that are . . .well, it doesn’t make sense that we are still together. But I’m so glad we are. And I keep learning that each family is different and unique in and of itself. And that people who aren’t related to you become family in your heart… like the poetry family you have gathered together each week! πŸ™‚

  4. So glad you understand without any need to expound on it! πŸ™‚ Glad you are together too! God bless you and yours!

  5. Amen Deb, God is all about family. God bless you, my sister in Our Lord.

  6. I love being in His family . . .and having so many brothers and sisters! πŸ™‚ God bless you too! And your family!

  7. What Mike said πŸ™‚

  8. “nough said. πŸ™‚ God bless you and your family, Ann!

  9. Oh, it sure is a miracle, and I am thankful, too. πŸ™‚

  10. That any of us stay together in any context, just due to our humaness . . .it IS a miracle. Smiling and thankful with you today!

  11. My family healing altogether is one of His great miracles. So grateful for His continuous hold on us and may we cling to Him forever.

  12. Thanking Him with you, sweet bendedspoon! God bless you and your family and His strong and loving hold on you!
