Jesus Watching

“And what I say to you I say to all; ‘Watch!’ ” Mark 13:37

We are a people who like to watch all sorts of things . . .sporting and music events, sunsets and sunrises, whales and birds.

Thank You, Jesus, for telling us to watch for the most spectacular happening ever – Your return to earth. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Something Else Is Coming

I watch for the postman
to bring me the mail
and I check to see what the weather
will be like as well
but may I never forget You’re coming,
to watch for You above all,
and listen for Your trumpet
to sound out it’s mighty call.

  1. Isn’t it so delicately curious, the difference in how the believer and un-believer treat the name and person of Jesus. Regardless how un-believers keep Him at a distance, we find His people everywhere.

Your words are encouragment, mine are warning. By the body of Christ, the message becomes complete.

    By His Grace.

  2. That is an important reminder. Thank you. πŸ™‚

  3. What a great thought, Deb! I do like to watch so many other things but I need to spend more effort watching for His return!

    In Christ,
    Ben

  4. Thank you for your warnings, for doing what He has called you to do! I love how the message becomes complete with Him. πŸ™‚

  5. We got to spend December watching and waiting for Him, in a way. πŸ™‚ May I stay just as excited and hopeful about His coming again as well. God bless you, dear Theresa!

  6. I know you won’t miss it, Ben! πŸ™‚ And you help us see Him everyday, in our hearts and lives. Thank you!

  7. Thank you, Debbie

Thanks for this timely reminder. After the decorations and such are put away, we still need to keep our hearts in a state of readiness.

    Blessings,
    ann

  8. I like that about after our decorations are put away, we still get to look and watch for Him. It’s not over yet, eh? πŸ™‚ God bless you and your ever seeking heart!

  9. Yes, yes, Deb, help me to see! Remind me daily to look for the One!

  11. He’s coming so I’m singing!

Jesus Christ is Coming To Town

    You better watch out
    You better not cry
    Better not doubt
    I’m telling you why
Jesus Christ is coming to town
    He’s offering the best
    And paying the price;
Gonna save us who sin and ain’t nice
Jesus Christ is coming to town
He sees you when you are hiding
He knows when you’re not angel
He knows if you’ve been hurting
So feel good and welcome Him!
    O! You better watch out!
    You better not cry
    Better not doubt
    I’m telling you why
Jesus Christ is coming to town!
Jesus Christ is coming to town!

    Merry Christmas everyone!
