“. . .every devoted offering is most holy to the Lord.” Leviticus 27:28

In chapter 27 of Leviticus, the verses prior to this one covered if a person or possession was consecrated by a vow to the Lord. A value would be placed on them and they could be bought back. But anything devoted to Lord was another matter.

Father, we thank You for holding on to each life devoted to You and seeing it as precious and irreplaceable. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Preciously Kept

A life devoted
in honor and love
to You
is considered most holy
kept and covered
made new.

This was the last post from Leviticus. Thank you for going through it with me! Tomorrow I return to the New Testament and the Gospel According to Mark. šŸ™‚

  1. Deb, Thank you for the journey through Leviticus, and how you found Jesus there at every turn. Peace, Linda

  2. Thanks Deb,

So thankful He sees all of us as precious and worthy of dying for. Not sure what would happen if I had to prove my worth. I would likely be dead or sold into slavery by now.

I pray He would keep us close to Himself and help us to be content with living under His shadow. I’ll certainly mess my life up if I wander off on my own again. šŸ˜¦

I will miss my ‘daily dose of old Testament’ but thank you so much. I’ve skimmed over or read many of these verses without digesting much. You’ve opened my eyes to a new way of receiving the ‘less exciting’ portions. Much fatter now, thanks šŸ™‚

  3. Thank you for encouraging me and journeying with me! It’s so wonderful to have friends along the way, keeping me on course. šŸ™‚

  4. I like thinking about us getting fatter in that way! šŸ™‚ No calories or extra pounds, just more grace. šŸ™‚ God bless you, Ann!

  5. If we can see the preciousness and value of others
how much more the eyes and heart of God can see?
He’s simply amazing for making us His treasures
regardless of the chips and dents on our soul
and yes even the excesses on our waist and hips. yay!

  6. It is wonderful, His loving us and seeing us as precious treasures! šŸ™‚ How He values you, Rea! Me too!
