Be Mine

“And you shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.” Leviticus 20:26

God had no intention of sharing the children of Israel – or us – with other gods.

Thank You, Lord, for teaching us to share many things – money, homes, possessions – but that our worship belongs to You alone. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Divine Love

Called out
set apart
by the Divine
all because
of a Love
that says to us
“be Mine.”

  1. Hallelujah! Makes me feel like dancing before Him. So thankful He delights in our worship. Thank you, Deb. Thank you! So wonderful to be reminded of who I am in Him and what I ought to bring to Him. Don’t want to share my worship with anyone else. Dying daily to live for Him. Bless His Holy name!

Yes Lord, I will be yours and yours alone! May my worship be a sweet smelling sacrifice to You. Amen

  2. That’s a God valentine 🙂

Thank you for not being a bunny, but being wind in my sails. It’s hard even stepping onto the field now, because of what happened. I am cautious about each letter in each word – but then God – and certain rays of sunshine with names, that keep coming my way – and supply the wind – to move the boat – just a little more forward.

The whole “jealous” God thing. The way he says he must have all our praise – it used to bother me – then one day it hit me – all good things deserve praise – God is all and only and eternally good – so God deserves all and only and eternal praise.

    thanks deb

  3. Your comment almost danced right off the screen! 🙂 I could feel your hallelujah from here . . .and joy and excitement! You are a precious daughter of the King! Rejoicing with you today! deb

  4. What a beautiful explanation of why He deserves all our praise and worship! And while He wants all our love, He also wants us to love others . . .just not worship them, because its not safe for us. Worshiping Him is!
Wondering, do scare crows work on bunnies? 🙂

  5. Deb, What more could we need than to be His? 🙂 I love your simple poems that really aren’t that simple in terms of the wisdom they convey. This one definitely made me smile today. 🙂 Peace, Linda

  6. A feeling of warmth and a then a smile spread slowly across my face…the beautiful truth.

  7. I love your smile and so does Jesus! And your worship of Him! God bless you big time, Linda!

  8. What a beautiful lady you are, inside and out! and that’s the truth! 🙂 love you!

  9. Hi again, Deb

Had to come back and say it. Reading your poem again (and again). I feel SO special!

A King… no, not just any old king … THE King of Kings says to me “Be mine.” ??!! Mercy personified!

God bless you again (and again!!)

  10. So blessed that you feel special and His!!! Sometimes I write things, but the fuller meaning doesn’t hit me until later. I am feeling the mercy of Him falling on me as well, when I need it most! We are both blessed again and again, by Him! yay! Thank you Ann!
