Unintentional Sin

“Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a person sins unintentionally . . .’ ” Leviticus 4:2

In Leviticus, Chapter 4, the Lord spoke to Moses about when a person, priest, ruler or the whole congregation sins without realizing it.

Lord, thank You for graciously letting me know about those sins I’m unaware of, and forgiving me when I ask. And here’s a simple poem . . .

You Know What I Don’t

Just the other day
I thought what I did
was okay
but now You’ve revealed
in Your oh-so-gracious way
my need for forgiveness
and change
starting today.

Has He revealed a sin to you lately?

  1. Dear God,
    Just a few minutes ago
    I had my excuses
    but now You reiterated
    that I got to change.
    CHANGE!
Oh God, how can I be so hardheaded.
Let’s talk about my forgiveness next.
    Please.

  2. Oh my goodness. What have I done here? We’re going to have to talk about my forgiveness too! And . . .my change! Can I take these posts back? πŸ™‚

  3. Deb it’s all good.
You are actually blessing me in here.
    You just wait some more
and I might show you. lol

  6. Deb, I love this poem. He does have an “oh-so-gracious way” of guiding us, doesn’t He? As for your question, the answer is yes. Just last night when I was rude to a person who called at 9 pm to remind me to vote and tell me who I should vote for! So glad He forgives me. Peace, Linda

  7. I am so thanking Him with you! πŸ™‚

  8. How ever you spell it, it’s still wonderful! πŸ™‚ Thank you!

  9. Oh yes . . .I tend to hang up rather quickly when no one responds to my hello at lightning speed. I’m so glad He forgives me too! He has even had me listen to some of the calls and respond kindly . . .and Linda, the caller is almost speechless when I do. ha!
Bendedspoon and I were talking about . . .eating the wrong foods, learning to eat right, asking for forgiveness and changing in all of that. Once I know, then it’s not unintentional any more! More forgiveness needed!
God bless you and cover you today!

  10. Deb, I kind of wish I had just hung up, but I was much more unkind than that. 😦 Peace, Linda

  11. Thanks, Deb.

My printed devotional is ‘The Word For You Today’. Your entry coincides with today’s word! Thank you for sharing. Sometimes we can hurt others without even being aware … thanks for reminding me about those little things.

    blessings,
    ann

  12. Ann, you are so right. There is so much, so many that we may touch . . .and unintentionally hurt. Jesus is so good about the little things. Thank you so much for your terrific comment!
