The Faithful Servant

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his  master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?”  Matthew 24:45
“Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.”  Matthew 24:46

The waiting can be so long, so hard.  We wonder, even falter.

Thank You, Jesus, for the promise that You will come again.  Please help us to stay faithful.  Here’s a simple poem . . .

Staying On Task

No one else around Noah
was building an ark
as he worked on it
day after day.

So surely I can
stay on task
feeding the hungry
just as You’ve asked.

What has God asked you to be faithfully doing?

  1. You sure nourish me Debbie.
Can you imagine the ripple effect
of feeding even just one hungry soul?
    Please do.

  2. I love that He tells us in His Word that if we are faithful in doing good, that in due time we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up!

Ah, Lord… that I will be totally faithful to You!

  3. I love the idea of the ripple effect! 🙂 You create ripples that travel across oceans and touch my heart.

  4. I love that too, Peggy! 🙂 So thankful for you and your faith that helps me stay faithful too!

  5. Deb, You already know my answer to your question because you read my blog last night! He has asked me to faithfully share the Gospel. I pray I will always remain faithful, with His help, in doing just that until He comes back. Peace, Linda

  6. We’re doing it again, these posts that blend together! ha! So thankful for you and the faithful way you share Jesus with everyone! God bless you and keep you always! deb

  7. Deb,
Staying faithful seems to be a common thread among the faithful few and just desiring that speaks volumes of what your faith is like. My mother-in-law always reminds me to pray the same prayer for her and as I continue to journey with Christ, I realize they why and am slowly learning the how 🙂 Praying for you that you will stay faithful and desire Him more moment by moment.
    In Christ,

  8. I treasure your prayers for me, Vineet! Thank you so much!

  9. To faithfully ENJOY HIM!!!

  10. This was nice
    like ice

    a hot day
    so stay

    to see

    what He’ll do
    for you.

  11. Oh, I love that Manda! 🙂 Thank you for helping us to enjoy Him too!

  12. You sent a poem! that was too nice! It will be fun to see what all happens, for you and for me. 🙂 Maybe we will be storm shelters . . .I think you already are!

  13. I always admired Noah’s steadfast obedience as he worked building that ark all of those years. Thank you for that great reminder that we can be faithful, too. 🙂

  14. I know what you mean! I read of what God asked the prophets to do and then consider what He has asked of me. . .much easier! ha! I hear the Bob the Builder song in my head . . .can we do this? Yes, we can! 🙂
