Saying vs. Doing

“The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses seat.  Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works, for they say and do not do.”  Matthew 23:2-3

We have rules, regulations and laws to observe within our governments, churches, workplaces, marriages and families.

Oh Lord, help us do what we must, knowing all is in Your sight. And here is a simple poem . . .

It’s All Good

Some don’t say what they mean
or mean what they say
or do what they
tell us to do.
But Jesus will come
and set all things right
letting His truth
be our delight.

  1. Hi Deb

I do take this as confirmation for a project I need to work through.:) Thanks for sharing. May God reward your faithfulness.

  2. Confirmations are good! Praying for you as you work through that project, in Him! God bless you! deb

  3. Oh Deb, what manna you have been feasting on! Thank you so much for sharing the truth from scripture that is sometimes hidden and bringing it ( your treasure) out to us in your poems. 🙂

12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.Philippians 2:12-13

    “But Jesus will come
    and set all things right
    letting His truth
    be our delight.”

Any good we think, do, or say has it’s source in Jesus and His working in us.

  4. Theresa … I think your comment is better than my post. 🙂 Somehow you capture what I mean and add depth to it and scripture . . .and I just love that. Love you!

  5. Thank you Debbie for this delight.
    Nothing is as comforting
as putting our trust on Him
    because He keep His Words.

  6. And thank you for the delight of you and your trust in Him! 🙂
