Please Don’t Turn Away

“And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”  Matthew 22:21
“When they had heard these words, they marveled and left Him and went their way.”  Matthew 22:22

These men were so close to Him.  They were amazed by Jesus.  I want to shout out to them. . .stop them.  Plead with them to stay by His side and go His way.

Oh Jesus, I pray for all of us to encounter the wonder and awe of You today . . .and to never walk away.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Wow Factor

The wow factor
when we meet Jesus

isn’t meant to
put us in our place

but to draw us
closer to His.

Have you marveled at Jesus today?

  1. Hi Deb
Thank you for calling out to those of us who are in it for the fun, not the whole ride. The mockers wanted to point a finger rather than clarify a doubt and therefore went away but may many turn to Jesus when they experience Him so real and true. Thank you for faithfully calling us to love the Lord of Lords!

  2. It breaks my heart to see some so close to believing Him, who listen to His words, but still walk away. Thank you for calling out to them too! God bless you!

  3. Oh you can do a whole lot with that term wow factor in this context 🙂

  4. Jessie, Thank you! I so appreciate the wow factor you have added to my life! 🙂
