Jesus Vision

“And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.”  Matthew 17:8

Our eyes take in so much around us, good and bad.

Oh Lord, help me to see You only in everyone and everything today.  Here’s a simple poem . . .

The Eyes Have It

Always needed help to see
be it thick glasses or thin contacts
but it wasn’t the optometrist
who fitted me
with a lighted heart lens
that magnifies You.

Have you seen Jesus today?

  1. Deb, For some reason this made me want to go read what came before and after the verse you quoted. I like what Jesus said to Peter, James, and John right before they looked up and saw Him: “Don’t be afraid.” You are right that there is much that our eyes see, both good and bad, but what we need to do is see Jesus only and not be afraid. Peace, Linda

  2. I really like lighted heart lens! 🙂

  3. Thanks for adding the “don’t be afraid”! 🙂 God bless you!

  4. I have a magnifying glass with a lighted lens . .. and I use it A LOT! ha! 🙂
