A Holy Permit

“But Jesus answered, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.”  Matthew 3:15

John didn’t want to baptize Jesus.  It just didn’t seem right.

Jesus, thank You for all You “permitted to be so”, in order to fulfill the prophecy and promise of being our Savior and King.  Here’s a simple poem . . .

With His Permission

I can’t see the good
in what is happening
only the pain
misery and suffering
then You whisper to me
“permit it to be so”
and I can go on
knowing that You know.

  1. that is so sweet Debbie.
    thank you for this

  2. Once again . . . volumes from such few words.

  3. Deb, This is one to reread over and over, so that I might hear the Savior’s voice echo in my heart “Permit it to be so.” Peace, Linda

  4. God bless you and yours! 🙂

  5. Thanks for your encouragement and your walk with Him! You strengthen me.

  6. Maybe a hard concept? I have some things in my life that I feel like He is saying that to me about!

  7. Harder some days than others, to be sure. 🙂 I have some of those things in my life right now, too. Peace, Linda

  8. There is such power in simplicity 🙂

  9. If I don’t keep it simple, I’ll get lost! ha!
