Shining

“Now it was so . . .that Moses did not know that the skin of His face shone while he talked with Him.”  Exodus 34:29

Jackson Wilcox wrote in his Editor’s Diary section of Silver Wings, that we all have a candle in us.  Only some of us just aren’t lit.

Lord Jesus, please help me keep my candle lit and use it to light others.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Lit

May my face shine
from the time
I spend with You,
may my life glow
with the radiance
of Your love,
and may I be
a ready candle
burning to touch
an unlit wick for You.

  1. you are a candle light
    who can delight
    🙂

  2. Deb,
What a great reminder of how we need to shine for others. If others cannot see the glow in us, they will not see the God in us. God Bless

  3. Yes… may it be so in my life too!

  4. cool.

Makes me think of a sermon I heard years ago by a young unmarried preacher man. He talked about how beautiful woman could enter a room and her aura would linger with her perfume after she was gone ,then he said that is the way it should be when a Christian leaves a room. People should see the light ,smell the perfume or see something better where a Christian has been ,too often this is not the case.
    Thanks for the reminder.

  5. and may I be
    a ready candle
    burning to touch
