He’s Got Your Back

“And the Angel of God, Who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them. . .”  Exodus 14:19

I position myself around my daughter according to her specific needs.  If we’re walking for some distance, she likes me beside her, her arm linked into mine.  If it’s dark, she needs me to go before her and turn on lights.  If she knows where she is headed and the way is clear, she likes me to simply follow behind.

Jesus, thank You for making a way for me to the Father and guarding my past with Your forgiveness.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Parting Ways

Stretch out your rod and hand, Moses,
and I will part the sea

a strong east wind will dry
a path completely

and throughout this night
I will stand guard at your rear

a cloud of darkness to the Egyptians
to you a light shining clear.

  3. Deb,

Feels good reading your blog after many days…You explained it so well with that example of Aubrey…Many a times..I feel I’m all alone in a path..but I just have to turn around and see Him walking next to me…Please uphold me in your prayers…that I will always see His guiding hand in my life..and will never doubt His ways..

Thank you so much for being there in this journey…

    God Bless,
    Rani

  4. Beauty on Screen… thanks for sharing your gift of poetry 🙂

  5. I’m so glad to hear from you on here! You always add something special because that’s just how you are. . .so special. I don’t always see Him when I’m going through things, don’t always understand. But, you’re right . . He is here beside us. Praying as He guides you, going before, alongside and behind, surrounding you with His peace and love. 🙂

  6. God bless you and keep you and yours close to His heart today!

  7. Deb,
Once again, I picture Aubrey and her following of your gentle leading. I also see that with Him, the Good Shepherd, who leads us through the darkest night, the worst storms, and sometimes we don’t even know we are being led, but we are. God Bless
    Jim

  8. I like that comparing to Him being our Shepherd! 🙂 Thanks for putting that together for us! God bless you! deb
