Walking Away With Jesus

Leaving my job of 19 years was scary and freeing, all at the same time.  What I didn’t expect were all the blessings my co-workers sent with me as I went!

Jesus, thank You for the wonderful way You bless us each time we step away with You.

Here’s a simple poem to encourage us to go with God.

Godly Plunder

Come, My children
and let Me lead you
away from
what you know
and I will give you
blessing and favor
to take with you
as you go.

“And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be when you go, that you shall not go empty-handed.”  Exodus 3:21

  1. Deb,

I needed this one…for my journey out! No…I am definitely not empty-handed! Thanks be to God!

    Love and blessings,

  2. Deb, It does seem that God often leads us away from what we know, and though there can be fear in leaving our comfort zone the destination is always worth it. Just like Peter stepping from the boat to the water! Peace, Linda

  3. I love all that He has put into your hands and heart!

  4. I loved the Peter example! And as we keep our eyes on Him, we won’t sink either. 🙂 Blessings!

  5. Deb,

Very appropriate thought for me..as I was meditating on the same…starting off a journey according to God’s will..Someday, when He guides me, I will write about it..When He guides us to places..He will not let us go empty handed…He sends us with His presence, His guidance and also many of His other blessings..

Thank You Deb…It was like a confirmation for me…
    God Bless,

  6. Deb, Reminds me of the Audio Adrenaline song, “If I keep my eyes on Jesus, I can walk on water.” If you haven’t heard that one, you should check it out. It’s on their Bloom CD. 🙂 Peace, Linda

  7. I needed this one too… lead me LORD.

  8. I’m so glad! He is so good to us! love, deb

  9. I can tell He leads you Manda . . .you share with us where He takes you! God bless you!

  10. Debbie,
Thank you for the wonderful encouragement. Change is always such a hard thing and for me, I’m the one who deals with change badly even though so much has changed in my life. Thank you for those words of encouragement again.

  11. I don’t like change either . . .and you have had to go through so much of it! I do like the change though that He does inside me . . .afterward! 🙂 God bless you and yours Vineet! You are in His caring hands.

  12. Deb
What a comforting poem, I am glad you overcame your fear through Christ in order to do what you needed to. I actually find out wednesday if I will be leaving my job of twenty years, and yes, it is scary. Our security is in Christ though, not in corporate world. God Bless

  13. I am praying with you Jim! God bless you and keep you through this time.

  14. […] days back, my friend Debbie Feller, wrote in her a blog a beautiful poem about moving out with Jesus. And she had mentioned about the […]
