I tried encouraging my husband by saying he had special God-given gifts and talents. He has not yet come to Jesus and couldn’t see it that way. To him, only someone like a highly skilled surgeon had a gift from God.
Jesus, thank You for being God’s gift to us and for giving us each different abilities to be gifts to others in Your name.
Here’s our simple encouraging poem today, reminding us where our gifts come from!
Wide Awake
The dreamer is sold away
for dreaming dreams
no one wants
to come true, placed
in a position to reveal
the meaning of dreams,
never drifts off
from the fact God
is not asleep on the job.
“But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.” “So Joseph answered Pharaoh saying, ‘It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.'” Genesis 41:15-16
Yes, I will do that!
I am not that smart about blogging, the do’s and don’ts. sigh. Only started a month before you. I have been very open and have read another’s post about this same subject. I completely understand the need for discretion in order to not hurt others. I think I need to exercise it a little more, so am learning.I want to be more careful about protecting my family from something that might embarrass or hurt them. Of course to some, I am embarrassing, period. ha! One thing that came to me from a poetry blog about whether or not to use a pen name was that if I’m writing something that I don’t want associated with my name . .. maybe I shouldn’t be writing it. It kind of gave me direction with my poetry, to not use it to vent things, but for Him. I can vent in a journal . . .or to you! ha! I hope some of this helps, and doesn’t hurt. I will be praying for you . . .love, deb
Thank you. Love Theresa
