Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

My oldest daughter had a job which honed her skills in determining if someone was telling the truth – even over the phone.  In person, she likes to watch what people do more than listen to what they say.

Jesus, please help us to be honest with You, each other, and ourselves today.

Here’s a simple poem to honestly encourage us!

Laban hotly pursued Jacob
claiming he was on the up and up,
just concerned for his grandkids and daughters
whom he loved so very much,
How deeply wounded he felt
that Jacob would steal away –
I wonder if even God
rolled His eyes that day.

“What is my trespass?  What is my sin that you have so hotly pursued me?”  Genesis 31:36

  3. We serve a God who is holy and when he looks at us..he sees our motives, our attitudes, our thoughts….My prayer is that we will not have any kind of hypocricy in our relationship with Him…to be honest about all our thoughts..Thank you for that strong reminder Deb.

    God Bless,

  4. “Jesus, please help us to be honest with You, each other, and ourselves today.” Amen.
