“The Lord reigns, He is clothed with
majesty;
The Lord is clothed,
He has girded Himself with strength.” Psalm 93:1
There was a time when God laid aside His clothing for us.
Lord, we desire to lay aside anything we’re wearing today that keeps us from identifying with You. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Bare
You clothe Yourself
in majesty
You gird Yourself
with strength
so we can come
broken and bare
and be covered by
Your grace.

“Covered by your grace”
Oh the DEPTH of meaning in those words!
Incredible but true. We stand before the omnipotent, almighty, perfect, triune creator God, just as Christ stands, because we are covered by His grace – His righteousness.
Unworthy? Yes!
Treasured? Yes! simply because His love, mercy and grace reached out to me in the darkness of the kingdom of satan, took hold of me and placed me into His kingdom of Light.
What amazing grace!
What an incredibly amazing God!
‘Unworthy? Yes! Treasured? Yes!” Thank you, mentor Angela, for your excitement and witness to His amazing love and grace! God bless you and clothe you today!
Amen – so good Deb – specially for those of us who are ‘hating even the garments spotted by the flesh’ So good to know we get new clothing in Him.
I love the idea of ‘new clothing’ , Mr. Ben! And we don’t even have to go shopping!

“The Lord reigns…”
It always amazes me that the King of kings and Lord of lords loves us and extends grace to us so that we become His sons and daughters. Amazing graces it is indeed.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and a big heart-shaped noogie to Aub.
It’s good to stay amazed at God and His love and grace! And you are good at that! God bless you as He graces you today, Mr. Larry.
But, Aub’s kitty keeps getting noogies.
Not sure I’m creative enough to do a heart shaped noogie.

Happy Valentine’s Day and Snowman Day, Lady Dei! God bless you too!
Wow, Debbie, you’re so right that He set aside his clothes for us – even his royal clothes. This is the very sort of behavior of our God that makes me love him and believe that He is who He says He is. How unlike the other gods He is… Jesus is Lord!
Blessings ~ Wendy
How can we not love Him?
God bless you, dear Wendy, as you believe and see Him all around you!
Oh Deb, This one is so wonderful. This is really something that I had not considered:
“1There was a time when God laid aside His clothing for us.”
I am thinking about the humility and suffering on the cross.
I am also thinking about this passage:
” Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.” John 13:1-11
Love you!
Theresa
