“Mercy and truth have met together;
Righteousness and peace have
kissed each other.“ Psalms 85:10
I can’t handle the truth without mercy, and without righteousness there is no peace.
Lord, thank you for being the perfectly balanced combination of everything we need. And here’s a simple poem . . .
All Together
Mercy and truth
have met together
righteousness and peace
have kissed
hope and forgiveness
walk hand in hand
while Love weds sacrifice
making her His.

I LOVE the romantic imagery here Debbie – isn’t it wonderful how all these treasures are united, ‘married’ and brought together in Christ? He is the perfect fulfilment of all things
“He is the perfect fulfillment of all things”. I loved that, Ali! Thank you and God bless you as you treasure Him!
I’m just going to go with all that Ali said–Amen, amen!! God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddorino Delightino
Love you and your amen’s! God bless you bigger, Sis Caddorino Delightino!
All mercy and not truth you have mush. All truth and no mercy you have harshness. Mold the two together and voila!
The perfect mixture! Love that ‘voila’! Thanks, Pastor Bill and God bless you!
This is one of my favorite verses. It draws me back to John 1:14 – we beheld His glory full of grace and truth. He (Jesus- who else) is that perfect union.
Your poem so aptly captures this picture, and i love the photo you used.
Great way to start a Monday – thank you dear one.
Thank you, Mr. Ben , for sharing that John 1:14 verse with us!
God bless you and yours with all He wants for you!
Four dynamic duos !
This is so precious . . . Oh, how He loves and awaits His bride! God Bless you big time!
More than we can know, He loves us! Thank you, Deborah, and God bless you muchly!
Amen! Just this week I am experiencing the power of forgiveness – and it is remarkably as tender and sweet as a lingering kiss. Thank you for your words, your way of pointing us ever Up!
The power of forgiveness . . .I just love how you shared about it, Melody. May God bless you more and more as you lean into this kind of kiss! hugs!!
I agree!
“I can’t handle the truth without mercy, and without righteousness there is no peace.”
AMEN that is a great explanation of this verse. I really appreciate the insight. To be truthful I’ve never seen that relationship between the terms before, but it certainly makes alot of sense. Thnk you again.
Thanks, Pastor Rob and God bless you and your relationship with Jesus!
Hi Debbie, Beautiful. Blessings always, Ellen
God bless you too, dear Ellen, and all that He shows you today!
“…while Love weds sacrifice
making her His.”
A budda bing, budda boom ending with an awesome truth for all of us to wallow in everyday, every hour, and every moment.
Thanks. Give Aub a big noogie, just to let her know she’s loved by all.
Thank you , Mr. Larry . .I love your budda bing, budda booms!
Almost as much as Aub loves your noogies!
God bless you and all the truth and mercy He pours upon you!
Beautifully said, sweet friend.
I fear that in this marriage, the Bride revels in the truth but often forgets the mercy that made it possible to receive it.
Reminds me of Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
Thank you, gracious one, for what you shared. You always understand things in a special way! And Micah 6:8 is one of my favorites! God bless you as He is all things for you, all the time! love and prayers!
Debbie, I love how you have made Psalm 85:10 come so alive and fresh for me! I need to meditate on this verse – your poem is a lovely tribute to the truth of it.
Blessings ~ Wendy

Oh Deb, this poem is so beautiful!
I am so thankful for all that the Lord is.
“3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.
5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness”. Jeremiah 23:3-6
Love you!
