Rejoicing In The Middle

“He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.”  Psalms 66:6

How many of us are in the middle of the river, on foot, right now?

Oh Lord, we desire to rejoice in You right now, before we even know what the outcome will be.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

We’re There

How did it feel there
between the walls of water
walking on the sea’s bottom
following the way He’d made?

Let us rejoice now
in the middle of the miracle
that happens each time
we trust Him and obey.

  2. i cringe when I think of being in the middle of anything. Hot or cold. But this is a good example of a “good middle.” i want to be in the middle if He is with me.

    • Oh . ..I didn’t think about the lukewarm middle. That makes me cringe too! God bless you and walk with you all the way!

  3. thank you Deb..I felt I’ve been in the middle of many things before and even now..thanks for your encouraging poem!Have you heard of the song “somewhere in the Middle” by Casting crowns?

    • I have felt that way too, flora! God bless you right where you are, with Him! Here’s that song . .thank you for sending me to it!

  4. Great perspective Deb! How often do we think we will rejoice once we reach the other side. I join you now in praising Him right where we are and in the middle of wherever He has us! Blessings and rejoicing!

    Blessings ~ Wendy xo

  10. A rare thing, I know, but I’m speechless, Sis Deb–this is so beautiful, so full of HIM. Thank you for the simple and grace-filled message–God bless you abundantly, this Worshipful Wednesday. love, sis Caddo

    • Love you Sis Caddo, speechless or talkative! God bless you and the miracles you are in the middle of right now!

  11. Debbie! So wonderful! “In the middle of a miracle…” You always see the light. *Thank you.*

    • Sometimes it takes me awhile . .but I just keep looking and waiting for Him to turn on the switch. :) God bless you and give you light along the way , Brook!

  12. “…How did it feel there
    between the walls of water
    walking on the sea’s bottom
    following the way He’d made?…”

I’d guess that the children all ran over to the walls, stuck their hands in the water, and then yelled, “Mama, mama, look at this.”

The kids’ mothers, being Jewish and all, probably yelled, “Oy vey! Don’t you love me? Do you want to give me a heart attack? Get over here by me, right now!”

What a great question? Now you have me wondering. Great article today.

    • I love your description, Mr. Larry! :) It’s that writer coming out in you! God bless you as you wonder and see!

  13. Prophetic thank you’s are the way to go if you want a glorious outcome. Great post, Deb!
    God Bless You!

    • Amen, Lady Dei! I love that “prophetic thank you’s”. Thank you! And God bless you and the outcome yet to come!

  14. It doesn’t matter one iota what is ahead. It may be painful. It may be distressing. It may be the worst that has ever happened in life . . . but one thing is certain. My God is there with me and He is in control. He has hold of me and He will undertake for me. He will bring me through whatever happens and I will be spiritually stronger for the experience.

    What an incredibly amazing God!

    • Thank you and God bless you, mentor Angela, for walking in faith and showing us the way to Him, always! love and prayers!

  15. Love this Deb – reminded me of a picture Christine Caine posted on facebook today

If the link doesn’t work the picture says if God hasn’t opened the next door yet, praise Him in the hallway.

    Have a great day x

    that happens each time
    we trust Him and obey.”

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3
