Valued

“And indeed, as your life was valued much this day in my eyes, so let my life be valued much in the eyes of the Lord, and let Him deliver me  out of all tribulation.”  1 Samuel 26:24

We don’t always value life the way we should.

Thank You, Lord, for valuing us so much that You died for us when we were yet soaked in sin.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Evaluation

When we get
to the point of feeling
there is no value
to our lives
then Jesus can come
and change around
the economy
of our insides.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! God bless you!

  1. Deb, Happy Thanksgiving to you all there in the USA.
so glad He is changing us from glory to glory…

    • That’s so wonderful to think upon and thank Him for, faith-filled fisherlady! :) Thank you! And God bless you and fill you with His praise today!

  2. What a beautiful scripture! So grateful He values us so highly, may our response be to live to bring Him praise. Bless you for daily encouraging and refreshing us x

    • I know what you mean about that scripture. I just had to ask Him to help me do something with that one. :)
God bless you, too, sweet Aimee! You do so much and I love your blog! Thank you for feeding me!

  3. I am thankful for the light and salt you bring!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    • And turkey? . .light and salt and turkey. :) God bless you, hero, and your wonderful poetry that lifts and lightens my world! So thankful for you!

  4. Bless your heart Debbie.. your pieces always make me feel warm inside :)
Sorry I can’t say the same about my work (lol)
May the Lord Almighty keep you and yours this season :)
    BIG HUG!!!

    • Big hugs back to you, festivalking! Your writing is doing a different kind of work for Him, that is needed and beautiful too. It’s powerful . ..and anointed. Like you . .. beautiful, powerful and anointed! :)
God bless you and keep you ever so close to His heart. You are His beloved.

  5. “We don’t always value life the way we should.”

Wow! How true is this? It is the crux of our problems in America right now.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

    • It just creeps in, this idea that some have value but others don’t. Or at least not as much. And so what happens to them is okay, not so bad, really.
God bless you, dear Larry, and the value you see in living and loving for Jesus.

  6. Thankful for your ministry, Dearest Delightful Deb.

    Blessings
    ann

    • Thankful for you and your ministry too, Ann full of Jesus grace, joy and song! :) God bless you!

  7. Amen Debs… and belated happy thanksgiving… sorry for the late wishes :( …. sometimes we learn to value this life late in life… but better late than never right?
    Blessings and love, Ritas.

    • That is so true and amen to that Ritas! :) I’m still celebrating Thanksgiving so your wishes were perfectly timed, no apologies needed. I like to drag these things out. haha! Figure being thankful for as long as possible is a good thing.
love you and God bless you, dear one He values and loves so much!

  8. I really like the approach you’ve taken for your blog—where you choose a passage from scripture, comment on it, and then write a poem based on it. Keep the Bible at the center of your work, and you can’t go wrong.

    Grace and peace to you,
    Eric

    • God bless you, Eric and the work you are doing! :) Glad you are here and I’ll keep at this blog thing as long as He keeps giving me something to write.
